MAKEUP POLICIES
Parents, please make sure the email addresses connected to your Parent Portals are up to date so you can stay informed about everything Bolt! Unsubscribing from Bolt Parkour’s newsletter/emails is strongly ill-advised.
At Bolt, we understand that life happens. For this reason, we allow students to make up missed classes. We ask that parents do not exceed an average of one missed class a month at the most--especially when enrolled in a full class.
To create more spaces to maximize makeup options for everyone, we ask that you report when your student will be absent. We ask that families report absences at least 48 hours in advance to provide other families with the opportunity to plan makeups.
USE MAKEUPS FOR MORE THAN JUST CLASSES
Bolt grants makeups for missed classes that can be used for classes, camp, open gyms, and events for the student, siblings or friends. Bolt makeups can also be used at Dynamite Gymnastics Center, The Agility Center, or Dynamite Tumbling & Cheer. Abuse of our liberal makeup policy may result in makeups no longer being granted. Additionally, Bolt families are responsible for reimbursing erroneously redeemed makeups, so please give our staff adequate time to confirm makeup balances. To redeem makeups for camp or events, email hello@boltparkour.com. To redeem makeups for open gyms, just show up (see CALENDAR for open gym schedule).
MAKEUP RULES
Makeups accumulate and may be redeemed while the student is enrolled (either actively in a class or on hold status); any makeups remaining once enrollment ends will be forfeited.
Class absences must be reported AT LEAST 48 HOURS prior to the start of class. The purpose of a makeup is to offer flexibility; however, other students need to have the option of using the vacant spot which is only possible with advance notice. Of course, we understand if you have an emergency; however, serial absences with no notification may result in makeups not being granted.
Once a makeup is scheduled, whether or not your student attends, the makeup will be considered redeemed. This goes for anything makeups are used for including class, or camp, open gym or event.
While we permit parents to schedule makeups in advance, parents are responsible for reimbursing the trial rate or regular cost of open gyms, events or camp days for any makeups used beyond the number of makeups earned upon discontinuing enrollment.
