A Typical Day at Bolt Camp

Camp days at Bolt are structured but never rigid. Kids arrive between 8:30 and 9AM for warm-up games, then move into skill blocks — parkour fundamentals in the morning, tumbling and obstacle challenges in the afternoon. Full-day campers get a supervised lunch break, then a second skill session before afternoon pickup. Every day ends with a group challenge or game that lets kids apply what they've learned in a low-pressure, high-energy format.

Our camp counselors are the same coaches who run our regular classes — not temporary summer staff. They know how to read a group, keep energy high without losing focus, and make sure every kid has a moment in the spotlight every day.

Who Camp Is For

Bolt camp is designed for kids ages 6 and up at any skill level. We get first-timers who've never done a vault and returning campers who've been coming for three summers. Both fit in because our coaches group and challenge kids based on ability, not age. A confident 7-year-old and a cautious 11-year-old can be in the same session and both be appropriately challenged.

Families from Rockville, Bethesda, Potomac, Kensington, McLean, and Washington DC make the drive every summer. Camp is also popular as a standalone week for families who aren't enrolled in regular classes but want an active, skill-building summer experience.

Common Questions About Camp

Can my child attend if they've never done parkour? Absolutely — no experience required. Our coaches start everyone at ground level and build from there. Can siblings attend the same week? Yes, we actively encourage it. Can my child attend multiple weeks? Many of our most loyal campers do 3 or 4 weeks over the summer — returning campers see noticeably faster progression because they're building on a real foundation.
