The Closest Dedicated Parkour Gym to DC

Washington DC has a vibrant fitness culture but almost no dedicated parkour instruction. Most DC-area parkour content online points to outdoor jams or general gymnastics facilities. Bolt Parkour is different — a purpose-built 7,200 sq ft facility in North Bethesda designed specifically for parkour and tumbling instruction, with professional coaches who practice the sport themselves. For DC families serious about parkour, it's worth the 20-minute drive.

Serving DC Neighborhoods: Northwest, Upper NW, and Beyond

Families from Tenleytown, Friendship Heights, Chevy Chase DC, Cleveland Park, Woodley Park, and Bethesda-adjacent DC neighborhoods are typically 15–25 minutes from our North Bethesda facility. Wisconsin Avenue and Connecticut Avenue both run directly from Northwest DC toward our location — two of the most direct routes in the corridor. No highway required from most DC addresses.

What DC Families Find at Bolt

DC has one of the most educated and activity-oriented parent populations in the country. What we hear most from DC families is that they came looking for something different — a sport that challenges their kids physically and mentally, that scales with ability, and that doesn't require a travel team commitment. Parkour at Bolt checks all of those boxes. We offer structured progression from beginner through advanced, with an 8:1 student-to-coach ratio that makes real individual development possible.

Programs for DC Kids and Adults

We run classes from age 3 through adult, seven days a week. Preschool Movement for the youngest movers, Parkour Basics and Advanced Parkour for school-age kids, Tumbling for those focused on floor acrobatics and aerial skills, and Adult Parkour for teens and adults of any fitness level. DC families often enroll siblings across multiple programs — our age-segmented class structure means a 5-year-old and a 15-year-old can both find the right fit.

Summer Camp for DC Kids

Summer camp at Bolt is a popular option for DC families looking for something active, skill-building, and different from the standard DC camp circuit. We run weekly camps June through August, full-day and half-day, for kids ages 6 and up. DC families typically find the commute easy during summer — lighter weekday traffic makes the drive straightforward. Register early, especially for June and July weeks which fill fastest.
