Silver Spring families have been making the quick trip to Bolt Parkour in North Bethesda — and it’s worth every minute. The DC area’s only dedicated parkour and tumbling facility, with classes for all ages and skill levels starting at age 6.

When you’re looking for something that genuinely develops your child rather than just keeping them busy, the extra few minutes is easy to justify.

Silver Spring families make the trip for the facility and the coaching — there aren't many dedicated parkour gyms in Montgomery County, and ours is the closest option for most Silver Spring zip codes. We're about 15–20 minutes via Georgia Avenue or Route 355. Many of our Silver Spring students have been with us for years.
Silver Spring is one of the most culturally diverse communities in Maryland, and that's reflected in our student body. Parkour is a genuinely global sport — it originated in France, has deep roots in African movement traditions, and has been developed by practitioners across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. We welcome students from every background, and our coaching approach is built around meeting students where they are, not fitting them into a single athletic mold.
We offer classes from age 3 through adult, including Preschool Movement, Parkour Basics, Advanced Parkour, Tumbling, and Adult Parkour. Silver Spring tends to send us a mix of beginners and kids with existing athletic backgrounds. Both do well — parkour is genuinely accessible to beginners because it starts at ground level and builds progressively, and it's genuinely challenging for experienced athletes because the skill ceiling is very high.
Our summer camp program runs weekly from mid-June through mid-August. For Silver Spring families, we recommend the July and August weeks if schedule flexibility allows — June weeks fill first. Full-day camp (9am–3pm) and half-day options are available. Many Silver Spring families use Bolt camp as a complement to day camp rotations, fitting in one or two parkour weeks alongside other programs.
